Sue Arroyo is the founder and Publisher of CamCat Books, the first imprint of CamCat Publishing. A visionary propelled by determination, she built CamCat at the intersection of emerging technology and authorial passion. Breaking the glass ceiling in her many endeavors, Arroyo spent over twenty years in the tech industry.
Laura is the Sales & Marketing Manager at CamCat. She holds an MFA in Creative Writing Fiction from Eastern Kentucky University and has been in publishing for over five years in various capacities including reading author submissions for literary agents, managing book metadata, selling to Barnes & Noble, managing marketing and trade shows, and assisting with publicity campaigns. She enjoys arts and crafts like watercolor and knitting/crochet and loves to read fantasy novels and thrillers. She lives in Cincinnati with her husband and two rescue dogs.
Helga has been in publishing for over 30 years, serving as editor, writer or translator at various publishing houses and as an independent consultant. When she’s not on the phone advising an author or curled up with a good book, she can be found jogging along the beach with her dog (a mutt), sipping coffee with friends or a glass of champagne with her husband. Helga lives in Southern California with said husband, two sons, three cats (yes, three) and that mutt.
Cassandra is the Production Editor for CamCat Publishing. A US-UK Fulbright scholar, she taught college-level courses on religion, culture, and philosophy before entering the world of publishing. Ten years later, she still loves being up to her elbows in the mechanics of crafting beautiful, professional books. Her own writing was short-listed for the 2018 Bath Children’s Novel Award, with poetry and essays published in Frontier Poetry, Cirque, concīs, and elsewhere. She lives in Idaho with her twin sister, two children, and four rambunctious cats.
Isabella is the Publishing Assistant at CamCat Books. She serves as the Submissions Manager and aids with the copy for social media and graphic design. Isabella has a passion for the art of writing and values the beauty and power of a good book. She likes to travel and spend most of her time outside, whether it’s reading, writing, or hiking.
Bridget is the Publishing Assistant at CamCat Publishing. She has always had a love of reading and writing, so she decided to get her MA in Publishing to make a career of it. Bridget’s guilty pleasure is reading Young Adult books. At night, she sings in an acoustic duo at noisy bars.
Bill is the Business Manager at CamCat Publishing. He has worked in book publishing for over fifteen years and before that was a bookstore manager. Bill is an avid reader of various genres, always on the hunt for a great read. He grew up in the California Bay Area but now lives on the frozen tundra of Minnesota.
Gabriel is the Social Media Manager at CamCat Books, where he schedules social media content across various platforms including Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook. In his spare time, he is active in competitive distributed computing projects (it’s a thing, really…).
